al mcguire
Long ago and far way there were no internets to learn from. We had magazines, Recording Engineer/Producer, Mix, and Studio Sound. I was rooting around and found this Studio Sound article about LSI Recording in Nashville, the studio I spent years and a marriage working in. I've been trying to post it here but my files were too large. I mentioned this on Jan's Sounderday this morning and John B. found the issue online. A time capsule of sound recording 1984 with my 15 seconds of fame starting on p 38. https://www.americanradiohistory.com/Archive-Studio-Sound/80s/Studio-Sound-1984-09.pdf . Jim Feeley
Cool article. That Isaac Hayes Hammond B3 looks fantastic! And what a flashback to see those adverts from yesteryear...
John Blankenship
I enjoyed the article as well as the vintage ads. Kudos to "The rather weary face of Al McGuire."
bilagaana
A young face of Al McGuire. What is a hessian covered wall and ceiling?

Matthew Steel
MCI JH-24. We still have ours here. My time here began during its last days of regular use but we still need it to play stuff from the archives from time to time. Just last week I used it to transfer a 16 track orchestral film score. The Immoral Mr Teas
Took me a while to get past page 2 Al, let alone 38. My studio bought Gerry Rafferty's Soundcraft 200 Producer Series (which I guess he bought off the back of Baker Street and the album after 1980). Cheers!
