dgirtsman
Does anyone know if there's an option in Premiere to view poly file metadata, most importantly, track names? I I spent half of yesterday doing a bunch of scouring on the interwebs trying to help out an editor that isn't familiar with poly files (because I'm a nice guy) and it looks like there is not.... I have FCP and the track names that I add in to my SD 633 are plain as day. See screenshot below: Thanks!
Philip Perkins
This is a bug (my term) in PP. To see tracks names try mono files (ie split files, not polys).
Ilari Sivil
Wave Agent will do a nice, clean split from poly to mono files as a batch process.
IronFilm
The MetaData is being read by Premiere, it is just bizarrely hidden away. I'm not a Premiere editor myself, but one day last year I tried to help out a mate with a similar problem and I found the metadata displayed eventually on his PC in Premiere.... but I had to dig down deep for a couple hours before I finally saw it displayed in sub sub menu. Basically, nowhere you can easily see while editing. Easier to just refer to the sound report instead.
