Sennheiser MKH60: Any reports of counterfeits?

416 and 60 are totally different. 

416 a working horse, but 60 is more focused but sometimes wierd sounded. 

I like more the 60. 

This is much more younger construction than 416.

Outdoor the 60 much better than 416. Indoor booth of them are worst than example Neumann km185.

But these are just my opinions. Aybe somebody else like more the 416...

who knows.?

This is OT of course,

 

but I too switched from 416 to 60 after 12 years of ENG work! The reason was that I had to send the 416 to repair and tried a 60 as a temporary replacement.

Much better off-axis sound, notably lower noisefloor. As indoor compromise less reflection sounds. The high gain switch is useful when you have to work with thick muffy furs.
