mikewest
Had my 633 latch up half way through a job yesterday Turned power on the initial Sound Devices screen appeared but recorder did not boot up Switching off and removing power did nothing and the machine just stayed with screen on After about 25 minutes the machine turned off and allowed normal boot up when powered up Quite and embarrassing situation to be in! Any advice or comments please? mike
Trey LaCroix
Did you hold the menu button for 5ish seconds? That will reset the machine and has been the only way of resetting when my 633 has locked up.

Philip Perkins
Yeah--hit the "nuke" button. You'll have to rejam everything after.

afewmoreyears
It happens from time to time.. I think it's my firmware loaded onto my machine.. I really need to re do it.. just haven't had the time.. But, the menu reset works fine when it occurs..

John Blankenship
Are these lockups on the latest firmware version?

Mungo
Doesn't work everytime. It's important to switch to power off (over the INT/EXT switch) and then hold the button down.
