Tatiana
Hi hi! I was wondering about this Chest Straps, has anyone used it before? Do you girls/guys recommended it?It is very appealing for the right circumstances right? instead of using tape or clip? What do you think? thenannymoh
When I first bought the chest strap, I thought it would be a convenient way to reduce rustle noise on a hairy chest. It does that a bit, but there are usually better ways to deal with it. What I use it for primarily now is hiding the mic cable, which it does a very good job at. NickFriedrich
I found it very useful on hair and/or sweaty men. But as usual when it comes to laving YMMV, I had the strap not working on some people aswell. Still worth a try sometimes
Trey LaCroix
Works for sweaty chests great! Doesn’t reduce chest hair noise as much as I’d like.
Constantin
Yes, I use it primarily on sweaty guys who only wear a t-shirt, so it can’t easily be taped anywhere. For that it works great. It’s invisible. I does reduce hair rustle a bit, but I don’t think that it’s even claiming to do that.
VASI
I have found to use it mostly at male actors. Works well, but not everytime. Although, I can vouch for that accessory. Most of times you need to be fast, so a great addition to your kit and cheap.
Dave Pullmer
I'd 2nd that its worth having in your kit. It's by no means the go to wiring method but good to have in your back pocket when nothing else is working. Mostly comes in play for hairy or sweaty scenarios... Mike Westgate
Yep great straps indeed A pity they have color coded the sizes rather than called them S M L etc Much easier if you are in a hurry! mike
soundpod
I once worked with a mixer who's straps were labelled L, XL, XXL, XXXL etc. I had to hide the labelling from body aware actors/actresses, especially if I was using the XXXL. So I don't mind colour codes. I label as 1, 2, 3 etc to represent size.
