Glyn Posted May 10, 2019 Report Share Posted May 10, 2019 Just looking in the Sound Devices 633 manual and noticed this on page 29: Quote For unbalanced connections, tie pin-3 to pin-1 of the XLR-3M connector of the cable. What does this mean? Are they advising that you somehow add a connection between pins 3 and 1 of the male end of the unbalanced XLR cable. If so how do you do this. Many thanks in advance. Trey LaCroix Posted May 10, 2019 Report Share Posted May 10, 2019 This is typical for connecting an unbalanced signal to a balanced input. Take a piece of wire and solder it from pin 1 to pin 3.
