Sound Intuition
So we came back from lunch and I went to jam the JB1 and pushed the button to get to the menu screen. Now it is frozen and no matter how long I hold the button It won't turn off. Any suggestions? Thanks
Jack Norflus
Did you try to plug in power?

JamesB
This has happened to me as well. Pulling the battery was the only solution. A hard reset button would be nice
G Murphy
Same thing just happened to me today on set. At wrap when I pushed the button to get the menu screen to shut down. Froze up. I remembered this thread and knew immediately what to do. The battery removal solution worked.
Seth Tallman
I had the same problem now twice in a few days. The battery removal was a quick solution but doesn’t give any insight as to what may be causing this problem. I have used 4 JB-1’s daily for the past 2 seasons, almost 400 sound rolls, with out an issue and now twice within a week. Any thoughts about what might cause this issue? Jfgurney
This seems to only happen when operating in 23.98. I’ve never seen it occur at 29.97. Just my experience.
Jim Rillie
I have had this happen as well. Only once in a 90 day season. It was at the end of day, and removing and re inserting the battery worked, and I got to see what to do when it’s battery replacement time. Ontariosound
I have not had this issue with my JB-1's, used heavily for the last few years. I updated the software to 1.7 last year.
