skagroovy
One of my well used cos-11 has developed a wine that I swear I had recently reterminated by trew audio, could the insulation on the wire be breaking down? should I send it back in? Hate to just bin it.
Mike Westgate
Cheaper to get it checked than bin it!!?? mike
Olle Sjostrom
Also, if my mic produced wine, I'd bring glasses out post wrap. Jokes aside, if my mic produced a Whine, I would Def check the possibility of replacing the cable altogether from the head. This is more usual with dpa mics. The other thing might be the capsule itself. I would reach out to Sanken too. Good luck!
Eric Toline
If you can open the connector check to see if there appears to be a short between the pins or a broken solder point. Does squeezing the mic cable anywhere along it's length change or stop the whine?
