Earthworks Periscope?

Have an odd one.... Trying to power an Earthworks Periscope mic with a PSC pH48 supply and then go to a zaxcom Transmitter. Not working.

What’s the output amperage of the PSC? Too low? Can’t find that out. The Periscope needs 10ma and 48v.

Not a film job.... 😂

10ma is a lot, right?

Hi Ty,

That would give you a 34 Volt drop on a DIN standard 48 Volt supply, i.e., 14 Volts at the mic pins. As I remember, the Earthworks mic is a high current draw mic with one leg being a current mirror of the other leg. We had to sell a pin flipping adapter for our HM series plug on transmitters.

Best Regards,
