Gig in Iowa city the evening of Monday Jan 27th

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I am looking for someone that could record a live event at The University of Iowa on the evening of Monday Jan 27th. It is a live discussion panel that would need to be recorded as iso tracks as well as a stereo mix.  The venue will provide all of the live sound, but I’m not sure how much of the recording equipment the venue can provide yet but this is what we are looking for.  I’m guessing that you will need to provide some splitters, mics, cables and a multitrack recorder. We prefer 24/44.1 recordings but will accept 16/44.1 or mp3s at 192kbps or higher.

So, here is what we ultimately need at a minimum:

  • 4 wired or wireless mics on stands for the host and three guests in a living room setting. (We typically use KSM105s or Beta58s but similar directional mics would suffice.)
  • 2 high quality wireless handhelds for audience Q and A.
  • XY or AB recording from front of stage of audience. (We typically use MKH416s or MKH50s depending on venue and mic availability.)

And possible additions:

  • Possible additional mic for host’s intro section at a podium. Or, this could start at a podium/up front and be moved between segments to the living room setting.
  • Additional audience mics as track count and equipment allows.

Please let me know if you are interested, available, what your rate would be and if you have any questions.

Thanks!!!!
