Comtek IR-230 - any experience

Hi everybody ,

I am going to buy M216 option 7 and couple of PR216 ,one PR216 option 7 for video village or something . And I was thinking to buy IR-230 (AP-230), seems like good option for playback when you need to record actor singing or if director wont to speak to actor and not using walkie .

Any experience will be good to hear it.

It would depend mostly upon what your clients have been asking for. 

If you're wanting to know what others have found most useful, then my experience is that additional Comteks are needed much more often than an ear prompter.  I carry both and hardly ever use my ear prompters but have deployed as many as 16 or 17 Comteks with headsets.

But, then again, this will depend upon your specific clients.

Thank you John on your comment , for now I am going to get one M216 option 7 ,  4 PR216 receivers and one PR216 option 7 for video village. I know that director,  script , producer , dialog couch , and many other "tourist guests" like to wear Comtek, but I was thinking that is good to have  that cute small receiver for any case .
