humbuk
Please don't have any comparison of how different brands of wireless systems behave in the disturbance of measuring systems like Cine tape etc ... I have heard that for example the digital Sennheiser 6000 series is immune to it. I own an analog Sennheiser and interference occurs quite often. Did anyone have a chance to compare if there is a difference in interference Sennheiser, Lectrosonic, Wisycom? Thank you very much.
IronFilm
Worked on a film last week using Focusbug (like CineTape, but newer. And even better? Or at least the AC she says it is, but she would, it was hers!), didn't notice anything on my Lectrosonics digital hybrid wireless.
DanieldH
Is this actually an RF issue or does it happen in the analog realm of lavs? A disturbence i have heard once, was explained to me, by the ultrasound horn hits the lav.?
chrismedr
RF consists of electromagnetic waves, ie radiation energy without mass, like light or radio waves. ultrasonic sound consists of vibrating air molecules, like sound. it‘s pretty much impossible that vibrating air is interacting with electromagnetic waves (at least in these energy levels) so it must happen somewhere in the mic capsule.
