Sound
In the comments: Open the receiver, remove the original antenna and its cable (no need to desolder anything), add your SMA female connector and wire it to the PCB (solder it or you can even find some pre made cable SMA<->mini ipx) and it's done. It takes only a few minutes... So it's basically the same as the Sennheiser G3 sma mod which seems quite common, but I didn't find many people modding the sonys.. https://wavreport.com/2016/10/27/sennheiser-g2g3-sma-mod/ https://wavreport.com/2017/03/16/troubleshooting-a-g3-or-g2-mod-with-comparisons-between-a-set-having-only-the-rx-modded-and-a-set-having-both-the-tx-rx-modded/
roubi
Hi Sound, I made these video. Indeed, there is not a huge improvement over the stock antenna. However, the main advantage is that you can deport the antennas and use spiltters. Even with a 1:4 passive mini circuit splitter, so with quite some loss, in some situation, moving the antenna away from teradeks or over a corner gives great results. The mod is pretty easy ! Sorry, I don't know about transmitter as I don't to mod it.
Sound
Thanks for the video and your help!! I will try it on the transmitter. As the antenna is already torn off I don't have anything to loose.
