I read somewhere that Rode called their first mics NT... because then it read Rodent. The ø was always just a joke. 
 

But with Rycote I‘m also curious, especially if the last part is pronounced „T“ is in tea or „t“ as it is in cat. 
 

but you probably mostly want the video and I kind of ruined that now... sorry
