How to “age” a schoeps?

I ordered a new housing tube for my CMC 6 because it was looking a little ratty. I didn’t realize how much schoeps change color over time! I would think it has to do with either exposure to the oil on your hands or air as I can’t remember the last time a actually touched the Cut60.

 

Curious why it changes so much.

I didn’t know you could buy the tubes on their own, that’s good to know!

 

While trying to find out if their mics could be disinfected with UVC light the maker if their mic coating said that it’s not UV light resistant. Maybe that’s what that looks like?

yes, probably the Nextel. That is pretty much standard over here, for some reason...
