788T DE-15 Port Pin 10

Recommended Posts

Hey,

I'm building a remote roll box for my 788t with some additional buttons on it, and was working on powering it.  I noticed that pin #10 on the DE-15 says 10V DC in the manual.

Is that an input or an output?  It'd be cool to power the external box off one connector, but it seems suspiciously like it's an input.

it’s for powering AES 42 mics. I don’t think pin 10 is an in or out, it simply provides power. Apparently it provides 10-18V, but only 10V are needed for AES42, so my bet would be that you can use it to power other things

pin 10 i think would be a loop through of the DC input, so can be used if you want to power a receiver with it. the input voltage range is 10-18v.
it has nothing to do with AES42, as the powering is provided the same way you would power a P48 mic - with the XLR.
when i made myself an input cable for my super CMIT, it didn't use pin 10.

yes, I think you‘re right. Don’t know what I was thinking. Or why
