Mikro Addict
I need a solution to connect a Schoeps CUT60 and a CMR. Will a GVG do the job?
Constantin
You can physically connect the two. But it probably won’t work. Not exactly sure what we’re looking at in your picture, but normally the way you connect things follows the same pattern. The capsules have an inside thread at the bottom, the preamps have an outside thread at the top. All in-between pieces follow this pattern. Like the GVC which has an outside thread at the top, to accept capsules, and an inside thread at the bottom to be screwed onto a preamp. The CMR also has an outside thread so that it can mate to a capsule. The Cut60 follows this pattern, too, otherwise it wouldn’t be usable. Not sure what the GVC would change about this situation. But I heard that the CMR won’t work with additional active components.
