EZstreetMcKee
Hi everyone, What is the best way to transfer DAT to the Mac? Prefferably directly to iTunes? Any and all suggestions welcome, especially if you have already done this. Thanks -stu
Philip Perkins
Best would be a digital audio interface, of which there must be 50,000 models available, that could take in the digital out of your DAT machine and turn it into a Firewire stream that could be recorded in any of a large number of sound recording applications. Cheap or free app. faves around here would include Audacity, Boom Recorder, Peak LE, etc. As I said there are many types of interfaces from very inexpensive somewhat mid-fi types (like the Griffin iMic) to Weiss and Cranesong boxes costing many thousands of dollars. Many computer audio cards have SPDIF digital inputs, as do some of the newer desktop macs. Philip Perkins
