Jim Feeley
$549, but that includes free engraving. https://www.apple.com/airpods-max/ The advert is pretty cool, though.

Wait, what sort of engraving? An Apple logo at no charge?
codyman
It seems with Apple and their "Beats" amongst other accessories, about 50% of the product price is just marketing. I'll live and die by my Senheiser for mixing, Grado for music combo (which are hand built in NYC yet still cost a fraction of what these Apple headphones cost!). Got the 26s when I retired my 25s (after over 15 years) and splurged on a demo pair of Grados for home listening. The Apple headphones seemed interesting until I saw the price, almost did a spit take with my morning coffee.
Rudy Zasloff
Cool ad, and a very nice looking pair of headphones. But yeah, too pricey. And doesn't it seem weird they called it "AirPods" when that's the same name as their in-ear devices?
