Sound
I was just using my wireless lavs (sony uwp-d) and getting some cable noise. Mostly its because the minijack or the connector is failing. I replaced the unit, but I cannot replicate it. I can wiggle the connector and the antenna and nothing happens. The only reason I can see is, that maybe the connector wasnt screwed in properly, but I checked it on location. Any other idea?cable noise.wav
DanieldH
The connector in the unit might be defective. It could also be a break somewhere in the cable that is effective in a certain bending situation.
Andy Munitz Sony
Are you using the supplied UWP-D lav, or another lav?
Sound
It’s the supplied lav. But maybe it was even the connector from the receiver.
RunAndGun
I discovered this by accident YEARS ago with a Sony 77, check the top of the lav(the cap) and make sure it is screwed on completely. I had one that had gotten loose and I thought I had a bad lav or cable or connection.
