boop
I was almost certain this worked before on an older firmware… I’m looking to use an iPhone and the USB-C socket on the 888 for some simple playback. Oddly it works with my iPad no problem, but I’d rather be able to slip a phone (not my phone - an older one for this sole purpose) in the bag when its not being used. Anyone have any wisdom on the subject? The iPhone doesn’t detect the 888 as an audio interface…I’m using an official USB-C to lightning cable. Thank you! Olle Sjostrom
Since you mention "an older phone" or could be a compatibility issue with the adapter. IPhones are perpetually fussy about most things. I know for a fact that for some older IPhones, from iPhone 8 and older iirc, you need a powered USB hub to be able to use external interfaces, like the iRig devices. That could be the issue. Try it with a newer phone. Or a powered USB hub.
Display Name
Also make sure you are not in USB-C file transfer mode. Or perhaps try toggle it on/off and see if the phone reacts.
