Ivica
Hi I have problem with my DPA 4017B when working with SONY DWT-P01 transmitter. When I'm using 10 or 50 mW I have digital RFI especially on my Cinela Pianissimo. Does anybody have some solution for this problem. Thanks
rich
in the XLR connectors of the PIanissimo, break the connection between pin 1 and the shell, so that there is no connection to the shell, only pin 1. i did this to mine and it fixed issues i was having with my A10 transmitters. cineli
Maybe this trick is a line of the famous "Pin 1 problem" defined by the AES. Thank you "rich" for this reminder. @Ivica, in case it doesn't work, please let me know in PM or directly on this thread. We may have another option... The plug-on is mostly connected to the bottom of my KTEK boom, but I have also had the plug-on connected directly to the microphone with no added noise or interference. To always have good coverage, I have it set to 50mW. So it’s probably a problem with the cable. Cheers Fred
Johnny Karlsson
I believe early on, there was something going on with the 4017 mics that made them not play nice with plugon transmitters. Could be that? Maybe contact DPA and check if the serial number is one of the problematic ones.
