Eric Lau
what is the maximum AES can run on SD Scorpio? I use Lectrosonics Octopack, Zaxcom QRX200. for example: XLR provide 6 AES, SL6 provide 6 AES, SL2 provide 4 AES, the XL-AES provide 8 AES,
Mungo
I guess in total 12 channels: 4 channels (XLR 1 and 6) + 8 channels (XL-AES 4x TA3) If you need more, use Dante.
Eric Lau
CL6 is stop manufacturing, hopefully it will has something new for 12 channels with AES for replacement 😬

Mungo
I (unfortunately) haven't got access to a Scorpio, but I looked up the user guide: Go to Channel Input Menu and you can select AES 1,2,5,6. Means to me: 2 channels each on XLR 1 and 6.
Constantin
Yes, you select AES just lime you would select any input. If you have the SL-2 or XL-AES add-ons you get more AES inputs if needed

Range was impressive with Digital Hydrid.
Constantin
It depends in On 10/4/2021 at 6:01 PM, Eric Lau said: I'm thinking to run digital on AES or Dante, what do you think for Lectrosonics wireless? It depends on which receiver you‘ll want to buy, of course. If you have lots of AES devices, you may want to add a Dante device before you run out of inputs. AES may be simpler, because you don’t need a computer to set it up initially. In terms of sound quality I don’t think there will be any difference. Dante has the advantage of needing only one cable, so there’s that…

Only two person in sound department onset in Hong Kong, sound recordist and boom operator. Producer won’t pay extra.🥲🥲

You only need to make your Dante connections with a computer once. When you‘ve done that, you can leave your computer at home. After a firmware update you may have to repeat.
