Matias
Hi everybody Im looking for advice to my rather idiotic move. After lot of use for my K-tek stingray harness - i washed it with some soap. Which of course have resulted in it making rather much noise. Now every time i move around with my bag and boom a combination of rustling and stretching sound occur rather minor but in quiet scenes its super bad. So have anybody been in the same position and have a good method for making it function again? I have been thinking of giving it a new bath but his time with a lot of coconut oile or something that. Best Regards!

Paul F
Perhaps you have contaminated it with soap residue due to a weak rinse. Here's an odd thought; tap water has minerals that can attach to the material in the form of crystals; things like iron, zinc, calcium, potassium, magnesium, and sodium. Think starchy clothes. Do your clothes have a problem or is it just the harness? Oil does not sound like a good idea.
Rick Reineke
Oil does not sound like a good idea to me either. Take it to an experienced Dry Cleaner establishment and ask them.
Izen Ears
That’s crazy! What do they recommend for deep cleaning? Those harnesses gets super nasty over time, soaking in gallons of sweat.
Matias
They recommended to visit this link: https://ktekpro.com/service-instructions/cleaning-instructions-k-tek-stingray-products/ It seemed like i found a good solution. I gently washed the stingray in medium hot water along with some almond oil -- which worked really nice!
