chrisbakeruk
Hey Guys, I've had my 8060 for a while, really lovely mic, but wanted to get a nice super mic for indoors, my local store didn't have an MKH50 in stock at the time and so I've picked up a Schoeps MK41 on a CMC1. When comparing these mics (and I realize these mics serve very different purposes and behave differently), I found there to be more high pitched ambiant noise in the 8060 when compared with the Schoeps... is this normal, or do you think my MKH8060 is faulty? Here are images for comparison (I altered the gain of the MK41 to match the 8060): MK41: MKH8060 P.s. I love the schoeps, but I think I'd still like to get an MKH50 for really reverent/noisy rooms
