I guess v2 will have a mechanism to extend/retract the boom. I anticipate that this rig would be even harder on your back since instead of using your arms and shoulders to control movement, you'd have to have a stiff rigid back to have fine control of left/right movement and position. I mean, there is a practical use for this device, just not on daily boom jobs. I see long distance booming for extended periods where this device would be used, but it creates other issues that first need to be addressed.
