Trey LaCroix
Hey guys, I switch between Lectro and Zax/Shure fairly often and have my lavs wired with a microdot connector so I can switch connectors as needed. Occasionally the connector will come loose, particularly for ankle rigs for some reason, and need tightening throughout the day. Any tips for securing the connector more securely? Spin360
That's strange, I've never had a microdot adapter loosen. Although I've discovered old versions with lemo adapter have an o ring and new ones don't. Maybe it has something to do with this and you have old microdot lemo adapters that are missing the o ring? Lucas
you could try wrapping some ptfe thread seal tape around the outside of the connector. It can be relatively easily removed and leaves no residue.
thesound
PTFE thread seal tape is a good idea, as long as the threads don’t have to conduct electricity.…
