Adam D
HI This could be more of a warning about cheep SD cards. If i turn my 552 off and then back on again it will not see the SD card until I remove the card and re-insert it. It just says "No SD card". I am using an A-DATA 16Gb SDHC card. Is anyone else having this problem. I know of one other user here in New Zealand having this problem and am checking with others. Petros Kolyvas
I have some 4GB "Duracell" (Class 4) SDHC cards that I bought on sale ($15/each CDN) and they've been working great. You could contact Sound Devices. Maybe they'll need to issue a firmware fix some some cards.

Can you give me the exact model number of the cards? Thanks, ---Matt

Thanks, ---Matt Hi Matt. Yep formatted it in the 552. Everything works fine. I just need to reseat the card when ever I turn the mixer on. The Card is a "ADATA TURBO CLASS 6 SDHC CARD 16GB" I am still waiting to hear what Sound Devices have to say. Adam
Adam D
I have heard back from Sound Devices and they had had this problem with other cards as well. What cards are everyone using? Has anyone had problems with other manufacturers? Adam

Adam Only had my 552 for a few days but today I had this EXACT same issue using a Transcend 8GB SDHD Class 6 I dont think this is a card issue. Petros Kolyvas
We're using "Duracell" (No idea who actually makes them - made in Japan) brand SDHC cards (class 4) that we got on sale. They're 4GB cards. We have two. Haven't tried anything else. I haven't experienced any trouble with these. As soon as I get a chance to try some others I will.
