Malcolm Davies Amps CAS
No (visable) HPs.. which I guess is sort of typical for the UK... I prefer to hear whats going on. Look again! and could you explain why you think its typical for the UK? Even if she wasn't wearing headphones Loveday is one of the most respected Boom ops in the UK. Malcolm Davies. Simon Hayter
Loveday is wearing HD 25s with the right ear off.
Sebben
Feels a little strange adding a picture of myself into this epic thread... Looking it but grumpy - From waiting in the cold I would suspect.
dfisk
This is Waco Bill Macpherson and I in 1986 recording sfx on "Milagro Beanfield War". CrewC You know what's really cool about your photos? You look like you are having an absolute blast in each picture.

old school
Here is another shot, different movie from 1985. On the streets of NYC doing "Legal Eagles". Boom, mic, and the whole boom op are in the shot. Ya gotta do whatever it takes to get the shot. Even become a background extra. Jeff Wexler
It's nice to see a Boom Operator in the shot that looks like he knows what he's doing. All the BG players they "cast" to play Boom Ops always look like they are holding a fishpole for the first time in their lives.
Peter Mega
I love it when you see a prop camera being shoulder held by an extra who instead of holding the lens with the right hand, the whole arm is straight up and hand holding the camera handle at the top of the camera Looks so real!! old school
Fall of 1984 on the set of "Creator". From R 2 L, Peter O'Toole, Ivan Passor, Jim Stuebe, Jeff Wexler, Crew Chamberlain, an unknown person. We stopped to watch some whales swim by. This is one of the few pictures Jeff did without Don Coufal. Those were some big shoes to fill. Good times. CrewC
Jeff Wexler
Thank you for that, Crew. I have NO pictures from "Creator" which was a very special movie for me (even though I think no one ever saw it). Ivan was a delight, so pleased to have been able to work with Peter O'Toole (that was a trip for sure), and you should know as well, Crew, that you "filled the shoes" beautifully --- I never really missed Don for a moment and was so happy to be working with you again. old school
Thank you Jeff. I saw Creator again late last year. So many great scenes. I remember how much fun it was recording O'Toole's voice and how much energy Mariel had for everything in life. I wish I had more pictures but I do have the many memories.
