Kevin Sorensen
This was put together for a small job and hard to get at location. Didn't need radio mic's for this job, but they could have been mounted on this Milwaukee dolly also. Worked well on this rainy & muddy shoot. chrisnewton
great idea Kevin. How are the shelves attached to the frame? What are the shelves made of? Are they "off-the-shelf" shelves? Chris Newton
Kevin Sorensen
Thanks Nicole. Chris, the shelves are cut out of a plastic peg board* with a table saw. Home Depot had them. Angled aluminium is cut and secured to the frame with 3/8" pop-rivets and the shelves are held down to the them with 1/8" pop-rivets. The battery is bungee-corded on top of the axle. * they come 18"x18" or so, I think ?
Jeff Babb
Hey Kevin, I like the concept. It looks a little tippy, tho'. How's the stability if its bumped? Maybe some fold down outriggers on the wheel side might make me feel a bit less anxious.
Kevin Sorensen
Hey Jeff, The Milwaukee dolly is primarily made of some kind of nylon and the shelves being plastic make this a very light set up. The pelican case battery strapped to the axle and pick up plate, cradles it, and makes a really good "ballast" that keeps this small cart very stable. Other wise I would put something heavy on the pick up place like a toolbox or whatever.
