Daniel McIntosh
I did not find it on the Schoeps web site, but B&H has a Gray version of the CMIT listed: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/672729-REG/Schoeps_CMIT_5UAG_CMIT5UAG_Shotgun_Microphone_Gray_.html#specifications The specs appear to be identical to the blue version. Steve Joachim
The new grey CMIT just became available in January. Some potential customers were put-off by the original blue casing. $75 premium for the grey version (yeah, I know). In stock at Location Sound. Buy from your local Pro Dealer! studiomprd
I've always felt the blue sounded colder, and had hoped for something warmer... the gray ones sound a little duller, even 'darker', by comparison, the blue ones are definitely brighter...
