mikefilosa
Very cool, early demo of "Beat It" - vocals only into an SM-57 with a great "natural room" sound. Worth the listen - http://lacienegasmiled.tumblr.com/post/77598143356/demo-of-beat-it-composed-using-only-michael MF

George Tarrant
I remember being told by my father ( who was a cop at the time ) to make sure I didn't get near the Fesival Express concert stop in Calgary at McMahon Stadium. I really wanted to go and being all of 15 at the time I made a choice...My buddy Peter and I took the bus to the outdoor stadium and just hung out in the parking lot all day and listened for free. Awesome! I didn't totally disobey him as I stayed out in the parking lot but... Many years later I told Dad about the adventure and he just said " yes I knew you were there but what the hell...you were 15 " Apparantly the train had to make several unscheduled stops as the drank the train dry at least twice on the cross Canada trip. Ah the good old 70's...it's a wonder we made it through them! The quality of the stuff recorded on the train itself is surprisingly good I thought.
