Blocktek Posted October 30, 2022 Report Posted October 30, 2022 Does anyone know what the correct wiring would be for a Deity w.lav Micro for both servo and non-servo Lectrosonics (5-pin) transmitters? The cable is 2 wire. I know that their DA5S microdot adapter works best for me on both my Lectro SMWB and UM400 (not A) transmitters. I can't seem to take apart their microdot connectors to see what magic is happening inside. Quote
Vincent R. Posted October 30, 2022 Report Posted October 30, 2022 Hi Blocktek, This is the DA5S: Quote
Fernando Posted June 22, 2023 Report Posted June 22, 2023 Quote Hi Blocktek, This is the DA5S: Thank you Vincent. It matches Lectro "compatible" "2V positive BIAS, 2 wire" (fig.1, just slightly different resistors), so I guess it could be also wired as "servo" "2V positive BIAS, 2 wire" (fig.9)... with signal to pin 3 and shield to pin 1. --> Anyone tried? Daveydddd Posted April 3 Report Posted April 3 Hey Fernando, did you ever wire this up? If so, what did you wind up doing? Quote

Not yet, but I have to rewire a W.Lav Pro with a faulty microdot to TA5f pretty soon. First surprise is that the mic has 2 wires plus shield (thought it had 1 + shield). I assume that, for modern servo wiring (as in fig.9), shield and white must go to pin1, and red to pin3. The mic cable is not nice to work with; it has those ultrathin wires inside (common in some headphone cables) that you can't really peel, you have to solder them directly... Quote
Blocktek Posted April 13 Author Report Posted April 13 The w.lav Micro is 2 wire. The Pro is 3. I bought the resistors to rewire my Micros, but I haven't had the patience to work with that tiny wire. Quote

Thanks for confirmation : ) Still think fig.9 wiring should be the right one for both the Micro and the Pro. It is the "servo" version of fig.1 wiring, which matches DA5S adapter for a "compatible" wiring for both the Micro and the Pro... Of course, help/confirmation from anyone with first hand experience, incl. Deity, would be much appreciated Quote
