Chris R
Im not a fan if you need to buy a particular "adaptor" (SRUNI Unislot adapter) for the bottom of the SRa for it to fit into this thing. Why cant you just take "any" bottom off that you have and the connection inside this quad pack match the one on the inside of the SRa? I'm actually puzzled what this brings to the table? I own 2 SRa's and one of the downfalls is no internal powering possible. This new unit still needs external so nothing gained there, you need to buy (if you don't already own) the particular adapter, it doesn't combine antennas...etc. You still need a cable to go from the box to your mixer so you're not even gaining anything there. Marc Wielage
I own 2 SRa's and one of the downfalls is no internal powering possible. Lectro does make this one: http://www.lectrosonics.com/hybrid/sr/SRbattsled_td.pdf but it's a little pricey (versions for both 9V and L&M-style battery packs). Looks like $250 for the sled itself, then another $179 for the 9V. The L or M battery packs slide in as-is, if I interpret the brochure correctly. --Marc W. Chris R
Hey Marc, I do have the Batt sled on one of my units. That 9volt adapter is new to me though. Thanks for sharing. To me this new product is nothing more than a case to hold 2 units. Seems to do little more than that. One of the biggest reasons I went with the SRa's is the weight and size. I personally wont be adding dead weight to my bag rig with this. Maybe I'm missing something.
hemmerlinj
Looks to me like once again Lectro pushed something out without really thinking it through and developing it properly. It offers nothing that you don't have already with just having 2 units and it adds more weight to the bag. Love my lectros, but come on. Marc Wielage
Lectro told us at their NAB booth that one of their European distributors decided to make a unit like this because a customer had asked for them. They figured they'd go ahead and build something similar in case more people wanted them. I think the idea is: one unit, everything bolted together, one power input (which feeds the two SRs), audio outs on the side. Still, it's about $500-$600 (if memory serves), which is kinda pricey. But it's very well-built and looks solid, and isn't too heavy. --Marc W.
studiomprd
" It offers nothing " I'm guessing you probably shouldn't buy one!
