Guest soundchris
Hi Douglas! The UJ-85J should fit. Check with ifixit. http://www.ifixit.com/cart/customer/home.php?m=82&a=62&c=15 Cheers Christian
Guest tourtelot
I found this one, a 5x DVD-RAM drive (might even be the Panasonic) so I think that it can be done. Now all I have to do is see about getting the hi-end Mini 1.8x Duo-core with 2G ram and no DVD drive<g> Ha! http://store.fastmac.com/product_info.php?products_id=

Guest tourtelot
I think so. A DVD-R is not a DVD-RAM. D.
Sergio Sanmiguel
I think so. A DVD-R is not a DVD-RAM. D. Yep you are right, I guess. Only I thought this was a SuperMulti drive which supposedly can burn ALL types of DVD media. Anyway, so what is exactly the propose of fitting a Mac mini with a DVD-RAM again?
Guest tourtelot
Well it is mostly about having not to stock a lot of different DVD types. The 744T ONLY writes to DVD-RAM and I use DVD-RAM in my Fostex DV824. Not the biggest deal but, supposedly, DVD-RAM are more stable and less prone to errors. I have, personally, never had a problem with any DVD<g>. D. PS. I still think that the Panasonic will fit<g>.
