RadoStefanov
Look at the picture. This is what I use. But I keep loosing these. What do you guys use to hold the cable steady secured to the pole?
Jimmy Tuffrey
a piece of pvc tape. Is that a vdb? I wrap a piece of tape around the pole at the top of the bottom segment.
RadoStefanov
This is my old very light french made LTM pole. I use Velcro wraps but I always loose them and it is getting expansive. a piece of pvc tape. Is that a vdb? I wrap a piece of tape around the pole at the top of the bottom segment. RadoStefanov
pvc tape would not work cause I like to adjust the cable when changing pole reach. The Velcro lets me do that with a little pull. I am thinking about inside coiled cable but paying $765 is out of the question. I am brainstorming the idea of wiring my trusted LTM pole. Maybe if I drill a whole in to the top? See picture.

Nate C
I don't use anything to hold the cable in place. When doing bag jobs, I use a curly cable. It is great. No messy loops of cable. Easy to lock into one finger, in order to hold in position. Usually hold it with my front hand. Have two curly cables, a newish one I use for doco pole and an old stretched curly that I use on my panamic maxi. I know this doesn't really answer your question, but I'll never go back to using a straight cable for bag jobs again.
Harris K
The goody beads or "pony holders" (i think we're talking about the same thing) is a pretty common way of doing it. I've always considered it the "right way". You're not affecting your dazzle factor the way you think. Everyone has seen it already.
Q
I used a velcro cable wrap on the mic end, permanently attached to the cable, then a couple of quick twists of the pole to wrap the cable around it. Easy. But, been using the 9' pole a lot and it is internally cabled.
