Oh, hey ... it's really nice to see a manufacturer supporting JW in this way.  I will admit, I tuned out this post (precisely because it looked like an ad) until Jeff posted here.  I have no problem with paid ads, properly labelled, though I'd imagine I'll continue to tune out obvious ads in the future.

I didn't realize Doc Justice was related to Halter Technical, so it's nice to have a face for that company.  I've appreciated his presence here, and now that I know about the connection, I think I will take HT more seriously if and when I do end up in the market for something they make.  Having a human presence and being able to talk to manufacturers directly about their products is a big deal to me.

Thank you "The Documentary Sound Guy" (sorry, I do not know your name) for your understanding of the guidelines of the site. I realize the whole timing and having a paid advertisement show up in the M & D section is not common. I really want to avoid the abuse from the past, specifically with a few manufacturers who really did mess things up a bit. I think we're on track, still, to been of the best online communities with a fantastic membership. I will continue to moderate with a very light hand and I truly appreciate all the participation from our members!

I very much appreciate the kind words!

I'm an IATSE Local 695 worker and CAS member. I care deeply about this community. Not just the Production Sound community, for which I've dedicated my life's work to, but specifically to the jwsound community. Jeff knows that I give back to our industry as much as I humanly can. I donate time and money, I help educate, and I do my best to innovate.

As a company, it's not possible to be completely altruistic. I do what I can to offer great products at great prices, knowing that these are the tools that I want to use on set myself. And I want you all to know about them, too. So yes, advertising just comes along with the mission here.

If there's one thing I've learned about being in the public eye (even in our small little sector), it's that not everybody will be pleased with everything I do. I'll keep working to do better and improve where I can. All constructive feedback is helpful.

As for this sale in particular, I hope it's a way to bring awareness to a product that I'm extremely proud of. Microsone took 8 years to bring to market, and is really special in its category. It received a US Patent for its technology and use. Now that the system is on sale for $960 for this week only (mind you, that includes TWO Microsone earbuds, the Control Pack, and charging gear), I hope that those who were priced out of earwig systems in the past now consider Microsone as an option for themselves.

Ultimately, it's up to you all (the readers, the community) to decide if a post or product interests you enough to want to learn more about it. I'll keep doing what I can to engage in interesting ways, and I hope you all continue to hold my feet to the fire for it.

Interested by this - where can we find more information? A data sheet with info on freq ranges, cross compatibility etc would be welcomed. Is the transceiver compatible with Lectrosonics IFB mode, for example?

The manual can be accessed at this link:

Here is a screenshot of the spec sheet:

Control Pack is compatible with all of Lectrosonics analog compatibility modes, including digital hybrid. Each mode has different volume and fidelity characteristics, so choosing one is more of a personal preference. You could also use Sennheiser, Shure, Wisycom, Comtek, or really any brand of analog transmitter in the VHF or UHF ranges.

Thanks for the info! Very appealing product. Do you have to select different compatibility modes on the transceiver? Or is does it receive whatever is on the selected frequency regardless of mode?
