Tom Visser
one for the "other computers"... as OS X seems to be left out of the support loop, perhaps as much to do with Apple as Dell, but an interesting product nonetheless, especially if it works in single touch mode with Macs. Has anyone ever used any of Dell's other touchscreens with Macs before? http://accessories.dell.com/sna/products/displays/productdetail.aspx?c=ca&l=en&s=dhs&cs=cadhs1&sku=320-1819 Dell ST2220T 21.5" W Multi-touch monitor with IPS
Marc Wielage
I dunno. I think the computer screen will get all smudgey and scratched if you use it as a touch screen for a long period of time. I can see it for specialized functions like an iPad or Tablet, but not for day-to-day use in an office or something. I think a mouse or trackpad works better. BTW, I really, really like the Apple Magic Trackpad -- it's worked wonders with my achin' fingers (carpal tunnel from too many years of banging on keyboards in post). Very fast and easy to use. The bitch is replacing the batteries every 4-5 weeks, but aside from that, it's cool. --Marc W.
soundtrane
Mark, I second that - just got the trackpad recently. I have thrown my mouse away... Maybe we should use NiMh batts... Of course, for long periods of rest - i realized one can turn it off and it connects within 5 seconds upon powering up. maybe this will help conserve power... -vin
