For you Python people, new media player.

As I was very dissatisfied with QMediaPlayer (lack of build in codecs, other issues) I've asked an old friend to port some old DirectShow / AVfoundation stuff to Python.
That took him a whopping day, he improved it, and he added Linux support as well. (He's a very experienced coder and nice guy.)
Mac supports the 'Pro' codecs / formats like MXF, not yet toyed with the other platforms.
