Want to rent a Nagra III to use in picture for a Film Shoot This Monday 1/17 in Los Angeles. Must be able to play a tape. Recording is not nec. If it has the old leather case too, that would be great. I will make sure it is treated well. And that you are properly compensated.

I don't know of an individual who owns one but there are examples at both of the main audio houses in LA. Coffey Sound has one on a shelf adjacent to the rental counter. David Panfili, CEO of LSC, has one (and also a Nagra II) in his office as part of his personal collection. You might call the after hours number, available in the recordings when you call the main number at either establishment.
