Jeff Wexler Posted September 16 Report Posted September 16 Thank you to all those who have just donated to support JWSOUND -- I truly appreciate every one of you, for your donations, of course, but more importantly for your participation in our long running online community. I believe that JWSOUND is still a special place even in today's world of massive proliferation of social media.
PMC Posted September 16 Report Posted September 16 "...in today's world of massive proliferation of ^anti-^social media." There. I fixed it for you. Buy a decent bottle of wine with my $50.
Izen Ears Posted September 20 Report Posted September 20 YES! Thank you so much for keeping this amazing site alive. It is a rare place of real people with knowledge and opinions. I've learned so much from this place!
Bilunt Posted November 24 Report Posted November 24 Hmmm… having just come across this topic I thought I’d make a donation—went to the “support” page… story of my life. Still happy to donate if someone posts a link. B

Still happy to donate if someone posts a link. Go to the homepage, here: https://jwsoundgroup.net And look for the green Donate box. On a laptop/desktop browser, it's along the right menu. On a smartphone, scroll down about 3/4 of the way. On both it looks something like this:
Jeff Wexler Posted November 25 Author Report Posted November 25 Thank you Jim for offering guidance for Donations. -- and huge thank you to all of our great members who have so generously donated without me even asking! JSWOUND continues to be one of best online communities and this comes from all of the thoughtful and generous participation of our members. Thank you !!!
Philip Perkins Posted November 25 Report Posted November 25 It seems to me that in these times (especially re: recent events) anything community oriented will only continue to exist if the people who like/enjoy/depend on whatever it is step up and support it directly. That means donations and ticket sales, particularly. Governments and rich people can no longer be counted on to support things viewed as "extras" (and possibly subversive extras at that), so if you want things like JW to continue please pony up folks.
Jeff Wexler Posted November 25 Author Report Posted November 25 I do not normally single out individual members who have donated, but I'm making an exception with a special shout out to Philip Perkins along with a thank you for his incredibly generous donation. Philip is certainly one of the founding members of JWSOUND signing up just under a month after our launch. Philip's participation here has been so wonderful, so thoughtful and helpful for so many, his generosity sharing his wealth of knowledge and experience is a cornerstone of the site. We have all benefitted from the huge variety of jobs Philip has done over the years, developing the art of sound recording for everything from commercials, documentaries, feature films and live concerts. Thank you!
