Eric Toline
Nice idea but you're at the mercy of the weather. If you could use a solar panel to charge your system or keep it running that's fine but what are you going to do on a cloudy day, indoors or on a night shoot? Guest Jeffrey Colon
No reason you could not augment shore power charging with solar... many options avaliable, from roll up SV panels to complete house systems... For the current cart rig, supposing a 120 amp hr AGM battery...(110lbs) It could be done, but I would rather help save the environment by pulling the plug on tha c..p they call "Reality TV"... than carry the extra weight and gear needed to solar charge a battery. Lots of sites on the web and it seems most are based on charging batteries... then inverting to AC... then back to DC for most appliances (fridge) seems very innefficient to me. taylormadeaudio
That's just so we have clean reliable DC power for the maximum allowable amount of time -- it's kinda like driving a car around with a 55-gal drum strapped to the side, filtering gas into the tank to keep it full... well, sort of... it's kinda like when you... I'll shut up now.
Marty Atias
I've been intrigued by JADOO's hydrogen power cells. They are very efficient, but priced like Anton Bauer bricks & chargers. You also can't fly with them. Marty Atias
