EMP Posted January 4 Report Posted January 4 Hi everyone, For one DIY thing, I need to make an extension cable between my 4ch Wisycom MCR54 receiver and an SLK54-IK Superslot backplate. I'm looking for an interconnect plug type that's used in backplates to connect to a PCB terminal on the bottom of the receiver, and wondering if it's some standard connector that I can buy separately, or did Wisycom design their own custom terminal. Tried looking it up with Google lens but no luck... Any insights? Quote
Tobi A Posted January 4 Report Posted January 4 Looks like It’s an of the shelf connector, would take some digging to work out exactly what thought. A quick google of “pcb smd interconnector” I found this https://au.mouser.com/new/te-connectivity/te-connectivity-fine-pitch-btb-connectors/?_gl=1*j5y6tx*_ga*MTc5NTkzOTczNC4xNzM1OTg3MTk1*_ga_15W4STQT4T*MTczNTk4NzE5NC4xLjAuMTczNTk4NzIwOC40Ni4wLjA. Looks like it’s a BTB (board to board) connector. Good luck with your search! Quote
DanieldH Posted January 10 Report Posted January 10 A detailed photo, possibly with some sort of scale (e.g. to estimate the pitch) could help. Quote
Rory Reshovsky Posted January 29 Report Posted January 29 With just the provided photo to go off of, my guess would be a JST JMC connector. Closer photos and measurements would definitely help narrow it down. Board-to-board connectors usually only come in PCB mount formats, so you'll either need to make a custom PCB to adapt to a ribbon cable, or design a flex PCB to accept the connectors and also be the "cable" itself.
