DaveT Posted June 3 Report Posted June 3 Hello, I hope this is an appropriate post. I'm doing some research for a project and I'm trying to identify the make and model of a sound (mixing?) board that appears in a 1967 episode of the original Mission: Impossible television series. The episode is entitled "The Train," and the board was used to combine/select the outputs from a bank of reel-to-reel tape recorders (though it was just a TV show). I've attached a picture of it from a screencap. Any help or pointers would be much appreciated. Thanks very much! Dave Quote
Jeff Wexler Posted June 3 Report Posted June 3 I'm not sure about this but it looks like the custom studio built 3 input mixing panel that was used at Universal Studio. This would have been back when most of the sound gear for shows was supplied by the Sound Department at the Studio. Quote
DaveT Posted June 3 Author Report Posted June 3 Thanks for the quick response. It might be a custom built unit that Desilu (or Glen Glenn who did their sound work) put together, but there's a piece of black tape right below the VU meter that I think is being used to cover the name of the manufacturer.
