Box for Roger’s transmitter

I am making a self sustained box for Rogers transmitter wifi amp and Vlock Battery. Amp works on 12V and ROgers fed from USB. I will try to make a Vlock plate with 12 to 5V converter to keep everything clean

Any ideas?

I was thinking of making a 2020 aluminum cage.

Cool! I'd try to keep the amp outside the box where it can cool off, or at least mount it in a way that uses the aluminum as a heat sink. I imagine you already want that antenna outside of an aluminum box anyways.

This is why i got the mounting type.

The alum composites I played with were surprisingly heavier than a suitable plate of just aluminum.

Since all your pieces are already nicely cased I'd consider making a backplane, screw/rivet a V-mount to it with your 2 boxes and some nice cable management. You can always drop that unit into a bag or case as needed.

Individual feather rig with a bag and handle. I can just drop somewhere close to set.

3mm is pretty light and super strong. Way stronger and lighter than aluminum sheet.

can you elaborate on the backplane?

as far as cables I will have what you see plus 3.5 to 3.5 right angle in the back of Roger's plus space for comtek/vRX/Urx

cut out a board and screw or velcro all those things to it in a nice tidy way. Maybe cut out a handle in the board. And/or give it a clamp. Or cut it to the inner dimensions of a case you like. A lot of folks do this for hotel charging cases: mine is below. My wires aren't so pretty but they're nicely contained underneath and inside the case. I haven't had any heat problems in there. I think I actually did use aluminum composite for this one. And you can use a powered or non-live v-mount just to hold the battery to your board. I use one on the outside of my bag and love it.
