Hugh Palmer Posted December 20, 2025 Author Report Posted December 20, 2025 Good to hear the Linux love! Linux is getting closer to being on the cards. I am in the process of setting up a linux distro on a spare machine so I should be able to build, test and release a linux version soon. Honestly having four seperate people ask for it will definitely speed the process along. File renaming is also on the cards to come in the next release. MS decoding is not something I've considered at all. Would you just want it to be decoded for playback? Sorry for the late replies here - I haven't set up notifications on JWSound replies as of yet. Would you just want it to be decoded for playback? MS for playback / listening to music or ambience recordings when it comes to prep for delivery. Many people use MS for documentary stuff. Unless your recorder allows for a LR mixdown, you got no chance to listen into your stereo files without importing into an NLE. I do scripted word myself, but often use Double MS for ambience recordings and would love to have a quick FRONT-LR or BACK-LR image from it just being able to tell how what Post can expect from it. It would be great if I could adjust stereo width on the fly just moving the SIDE channel slider. Aaton started to do it on the recorder side, then SD chimed in and you can do that on their recorders too. Quote
Diego Casares Posted January 2 Report Posted January 2 Hi, great app! i have been looking for something like this for a while. I did a quick test today on resyncing/merging but the wisy MTP61's files (32 bit float) didn´t show any TC in the app , i will continue testing . What i'm really interested in is in the conform via CSV , a-la SD-Utility, or something similar to conform polywavs automatically from TX recordings at the end of the shooting day, but keeping the metadata and file lenght matching the main recorder polys. Privacy is a must when delivering TX files. Quote
