Mmm, it weighs 7 pounds and is quite large for harness applications but if they made a three quarter sized version I would consider it.

Taking inspiration from you, I just bought this Ugly Stick Bag to replace my Petro PS617 bag. Only 4.5 lbs. and $46.

The bag doesn't roll like the PS417 but doesn't have a lightweight metal frame like some of the newer, much more expensive, purpose built bags.

 

I will try it out for a week before I start punching pass-through holes for cables.

Well it is ugly! But so is the cost these days of a new bag from k-tek or orca.

I think THIS is going to be a winner! I really like that it has a top cover. Much more unrestricted space vs the PS617 and same weight. 20lbs. fully loaded.
