Wisy MTP61 TC sync via BT (Deity, Saramonic)

Hi, has anyone tried syncing TC via Bluetooth? Besides Tentacle, TC box from Deity or Saramonic will also work (I mean just BT connection). Thanks.

AFAIK they are only compatible with Tentacle for wireless BT sync. I can confirm that it works very well with Tentacle. I use this feature every day on my MTP60s.

Does anyone know why any other Bluetooth TC wouldn’t work with Wisy? I’m not sure I know the ins and outs of BT and what is necessary to work with different brands…

As far as I know every manufacturer's protocol is proprietary.  There's no industry-standard bluetooth protocol for timecode, so therefore implementing interoperability requires cooperation between every manufacturer.

Not to mention that bluetooth itself is a mess of inconsistent standards that is kind of cobbled together, and requires license fees.  It's kind of a marvel that any manufacturer has produced a reliable solution (to be honest, I'm still somewhat skeptical of how reliable it is, but the various implemented do seem to get used and more or less work).
