cstauffer Posted December 23, 2025 Report Posted December 23, 2025 Has anyone else had any interference in the form of audio ducking out while using the Sound Devices A20 Tx on Boom? Has anyone discovered the cause? I am suspecting some gear on the camera, possibly focus and/or aperture control systems, but nothing definitive yet. Hard to get time to chase it down when you are shooting a TV Series! Thanks everyone... CRAIG Quote
Derek H Posted December 23, 2025 Report Posted December 23, 2025 What do you do to fix the problem? Change freqs or does it randomly happen on any freq? Quote
Matthias Richter Posted December 24, 2025 Report Posted December 24, 2025 you absolutely sure it’s your TX? I had my boom signal cutting out briefly every now and then but very often right after „aaand action“ was called. Turned out my Mixer Fader for the Boom had a dead spot I was hitting Quote
cstauffer Posted December 24, 2025 Author Report Posted December 24, 2025 Derek, i tried changing freqs to no avail. Still happens. Matthias, I am fairly certain it is the Tx. Set radios aren't doing it. It happens at random times but seem to happen when near a camera with the boom. Craig Quote
fieldsound Posted December 24, 2025 Report Posted December 24, 2025 Could be a faulty BNC cable on the camera monitor/Teradek. They can spray a lot of RF. Quote
Derek H Posted December 24, 2025 Report Posted December 24, 2025 Good luck chasing that down. I would get in touch with sound devices and try to work with them. Quote
