jawharp Posted December 30, 2025 Report Posted December 30, 2025 I tried switching to a Pix 260i as my main recorder because i needed more tracks and dante compatibility. The headphone amp seems very noisy, to the point where I'm not sure what I'm recording and what I'm not line noise-wise. Everything sounds great in my 788t backup machine's headphone jack. Is this an issue across all of the Pix series? I wasn't sure if because it was a 260i audio and/or video recorder whether they cheaped out on the headphone amp vs the 970. Thanks Quote
Trey LaCroix CAS Posted December 30, 2025 Report Posted December 30, 2025 My main recorder is a Pix 270i and I think the headphone amp is great. I’ve also used the 970 and and thought it sounded really good. Maybe an issue with your specific unit? Quote
